Gitarre und Tabulaturen

Music is and always has been very important in my life. I mainly play on a stereo system, but I’ve also been playing classical guitar for 40 years. I taught myself to play, like many others back then, because I wanted to play along to songs or accompany others. But that quickly became boring, and because I wanted more, I borrowed Peter Bursch’s fingerpicking book from my brother and taught myself tablature.

Tablature has remained my primary form of music to this day. I quickly realized that tablature was scarce back then, so I started borrowing sheet music from the library and transcribing it into tablature. When I ended up with too many sheets of paper, my dad had 40 DIN A4 booklets printed and bound for me at his company’s print shop. They were full after two years.

Today I use TablEdittef-icon  and Guitar Pro 6. Guitar_Pro_icon The online community is huge, and almost everything is available in tablature. Well, not always everything. That’s why I occasionally do it myself, sit down at the computer, and painstakingly transfer all the numbers onto the lines. It was definitely faster with pen and paper back then.

From time to time I’ll post some tabs here. Maybe you’ll like them.
